and spirit

it is dawn and i awaken
and i have the feelings
but lack the words
to give inspiration

lush to stark

lie journeys of discovery
fraught with danger
blessed with ecstasy
where time and space
can but watch in wonder
as the spiral of life
of these creations of higher powers
dance and play
make love and war
separate and distance
renew and rejoin and rejoice
give birth and immortality
experience death and mortality
but in the continuum
experience every emotion
every sense
of sensuality and sexuality
of love which gives
of love which takes
of bodies that unite
separate and
reestablish
and minds which reel at the
wonder of it all
making us the
creations of rapturous delight
or the walking wounded
on a giant cosmic
roller coaster of a ride
filled with
sheer joy
and sheer terror
where each rise to heights
can lead to freefalls of
terrifying depths
again
and
again
giving and taking
rising and falling
and simply being
what each must be
to complement and complete
the other
in the
overall cosmic rendition of
the world

just as wisdom
of ageless spiritual traditions
connects with spiritual essence
our ability to comprehend
the duality
of spirit and form
often leaves us  in deep confusion
and the ability to catalyze change
comes from alignment and balance at
the soul level
empowering us to achieve oneness
and inner truth as more
than an obscure spiritual abstraction
fraught by
criticizing and castigating ourselves
for our external chaos
and emotional upheaval
in realms of existence
which find us in a spiral in which
individuality, limitation and separation
