DEPARTURE
You made me laugh.
You made me uncomfortable with
 the truth.
You showed me how it feels to
hurt, how to wish that nothing had
ever happened between us.

The nights I waited to hear from
you, so long and nervous.
Restless sleep, you don't lay
beside me anymore, the bed is
cold and empty.

The last gift you ever gave me
before I never heard from you
again was the gift of time.
Nothing but time revolves around
me now.

I sit on the floor in the middle of a
vacant room staring through the
walls,
I hear the laughter of the happy
couple living next door.
The air vibrates from the complete
silence in my life.
