ME

I am just a person , nothing more.
Constantly searching for an unopened door.
But should I find it , I will let myself in ,
For in the game of life even losers can win.
No longer shall I spend my whole life indoors,
Like all of those other sad wasting bores.
Although these people are not unlike me,
I'm trying to change , and one day you'll see
Just how hard I did try to rebuild my life,
And how I rose above those who twisted the knife.
It's like being on the outside , sadly looking in,
Constantly losing , but sill trying to win.
Maybe in years , you will understand ,
That although my life was not very well planned.
All along I was trying to be ,
All that I am ,just a person , me.

STRANGE LIFE

If I asked myself , why am I here ?
The answer at first would not become clear.
We have but one lifetime to figure it out,
To find all the answers , to be without doubt.
We all wear a mask to hide all our fears,
With the face of the clown , we hold back the tears.
As time passes by , we all realise,
Seeing the same old things , but now through different eyes.
Something must be guiding us to where we need to go,
But if we ever find this place , how are we meant to know ?
And when we're dead and buried , our bodies in the ground,
What use are all these answers , the secrets we have found.
As our souls drift off to heaven , we leave this world behind,
Knowing we'll come back one day as someone elses mind.
